"Russia fly by“

Edition 5 focused on figurative painting from Russia. Three curators from the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk selected seven artists. This resulted in a wide range of topics and perspectives – from associations relating to Siberian exile, to the drama of human existence and the manner in which Russia’s past is being dealt with. One motif appeared over and over again in the exhibition – the "fly".
