Hangar-7 Museum in Salzburg is a magnificent and unique museum with unique and valuable art objects, as well as aesthetic presentations and interesting content. In addition to the exhibitions, here you can also explore the aircrafts of the Flying Bulls, racing cars, Formula 1 racing cars and many other sensations, which provide action and adrenaline, free of charge.
The architectural work of art Hangar-7 also functions as a museum and is home to a large and unique collection of historic aircraft and unique pieces of the Flying Bulls. It is also a meeting place for all art lovers, a place of exchange where artists and art lovers can inspire each other. Access is granted to everyone with free entry.
The Flying Bulls in Salzburg are passionately dedicated to finding rare historic aircrafts, restoring them with dedication and giving them wings again. The opening of Hangar-7 at Salzburg Airport also created a home for The Flying Bulls. The exhibits on display are far more than just collector's items. All the aircraft and helicopters of The Flying Bulls are airworthy. The Flying Bulls have a world-renowned fleet of the most beautiful aircraft in aviation history and also a unique know-how in the maintenance and restoration of historic aircraft. The Hangar-7 offers the opportunity to admire various exhibits on a regular basis. As the aircraft are regularly maintained on the one hand and are in constant use at air shows and events on the other, it is not possible to display all exhibits at the Hangar-7 at all times. We are happy to provide information by telephone.
The aircraft museum at Hangar-7 is unique in itself. However, contemporary art, photographs and other exhibits are also presented between the exhibits. This creates a museum space that is probably unique in the world.
A HOME FOR ART LOVERS
At Hangar-7, all artists and visitors meet at maximum eye level. This special place of exchange creates an enticing contrast between the exhibition themes: technology in all its forms and art. In particular, the imposing roof of Hangar-7 accentuates all the works and exhibits on display. Today, at the "A Passion for Wings: Events that Change the World" exhibition, you can see the photographic legacies of two brilliant brothers who, for the first time in the history of mankind, kept a motorised, piloted aircraft in the air for a short time. Visit our museum in Hangar-7, take the opportunity and become part of a unique photographic exhibition.
Many other exhibits and works of art can be admired in the Hangar-7 Museum daily with free admission from 09:00am - 10:00pm.
Getting to Hangar-7 is easy: there are plenty of parking spaces available for cars. Arriving by public transport is also uncomplicated: take the city bus line 2 (Karolingerstraße stop) or bus line 10 (Pressezentrum stop).
