How did you become a sommelier?
Even as a child, I always had a great interest in different flavors and drinks and over the years, I deepened what I had learned. What I learned quickly turned into a passion that I can still pass on every day.

Do you have a personal favorite wine or vintage? 
There are many favorites, but if I had to choose one, it would definitely be champagne.

Do you prefer to drink wine in your private life, or can it also be a beer?
I definitely prefer wine for a nice dinner, but of course there are also situations where I enjoy a cool blonde.

What does the perfect dinner look like for you?
A laid table, family, lots of food, lots of wine, lots of time.

Which restaurant in the world would you really like to dine at?
Where should I start?

Is there a special personality that you would definitely like to welcome as a guest at Restaurant Ikarus?
As another passion of mine is soccer, there are a few footballers I would like to see in the restaurant ;)

Your favorite winemaker?
It would be impossible for me to name just one winemaker.

How important is it to find the right drink or wine to go with a meal?
What would the best meal in a wonderful restaurant be without the right wine or drink? So yes, essentially important!

Will wine with a meal ever be replaced by non-alcoholic drinks?
No, never. Nevertheless, you are welcome to pay more attention to non-alcoholic drinks!

What was an unforgettable experience during your work at Restaurant Ikarus?
There are certainly a few! But of course, it's always very special when a special bottle is uncorked!

What is your biggest dream?
To continue living healthy and happy!
